Say Hello to Your Design Team!

Victoria Nye
Owner, Creative Director
What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
I worked on numerous designs (brochures, signage and merchandise) for AT&T for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
What’s something, non work-related, that you’re really good at?
I enjoy cooking all types of food and love getting creative in the kitchen!
A little bit about me.
I started my career in design over 25 years ago and I’ve had the opportunity to learn and collaborate with some of the best. I was able to broaden my experience working as an in-house designer at a few large tech and sports marketing companies. I attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC at the start of my career and again more recently to learn web coding. I completed the Web Design Certificate program at Pace University in NYC in 2015.
In 2006, I decided to dedicate my professional time to working with my own clients. I love having the opportunity to learn what my clients are passionate about, and to help them visualize what they’d like to portray to their audiences.
From health care to technology; non-profits to venture capital; and small start-ups to large companies, diversity is what makes my job amazing.
Not only are my clients diverse, but their projects are as well. As an independent designer I can take on projects of all kinds, which allows me to tap into all of the experience I’ve accrued through the years.
Working for myself also allows me the opportunity to do a lot of the other things I enjoy. I love to cook, so you will find me in the kitchen on a regular basis. Attending concerts or traveling when possible is high up on the list as well.

Erick Rodriguez-Markham
Web Developer, Project Manager
What’s the one item you never leave the house without?
I have to say my mobile. It’s funny how our mobiles became smarter than us – I only know about 2 peoples numbers.
What energizes you outside of work?
I’m a savvy handyman. I enjoy working on all types of projects around the house.
A little bit about me.
I’m a creative individual focused on user experience (UX), user interface (UI), product design, and digital marketing. Heavily influenced by my past travels, music, urban streets, photography, and random moments of life. I’ve been freelancing & collaborating with VN Creative since September 2016. I obtained my Web & Digital Design Certificate at PACE University and have enjoyed every opportunity since.
I trained first as a designer, then learned to develop for web and have been creating custom WordPress websites since 2015. Being a web developer and a project manager is beneficial since both skills are important when creating designs and deciding how they will be built. Finding the right mix between a great design and the usability of a site is a challenge I enjoy.
Specializing in front end development, I have experience with all stages of the web development life cycle. I have a strong background in project, program, portfolio management and customer relations.
For 2 years I volunteered at Pace University as a trainer assistant for the Dual Adobe Web & Digital Graphic Design certificate course which is part of one of their Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) program. In this program I assisted and advised students with issues or questions about class exercise(s) and project assignments while utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud software tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Edge Animate, Muse, Bridge and Acrobat PDF).
As an experienced IT / Cyber Security Project Manager for some of the top Fortune Global 500 companies (Banking sector) where I’ve been responsible for various small and large projects and programs as well as operational support; I can proficiently utilized numerous transferable skills to benefit web development projects.
Fur kids
Hi, we are the office fur kids (a.k.a. rulers of the kingdom).

Harley
I'm the baby and I'm ALWAYS on the move!
Harley is a rescue from Texas that we adopted from Eleventh Hour Rescue. She is very smart and loves to work and run. She wants to be besties with JC but can’t understand why he’s less excited about the offer.

Johnny Cash (aka JC)
I keep everyone on their toes!
JC is a unique rescued cat. He loves attention and at times he acts more like a dog than a cat. He listens to commands and sometimes comes along for walks. He’s very playful whenever he’s not sleeping in one of his favorite places.

(in memory of) Maggie
I made everyone I met happy!
Maggie was a rescued German Shepherd/Chow Chow mix. She was clever, loving, very loyal and always demanded attention from you! She loved napping (spooning and cuddles), morning walks and chasing her little brother JC around the house/office. We miss her dearly.
